This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Execute due diligence services as part of EBI Consulting’s esteemed practice on a national level.
• Carry out field assessments of various commercial properties, including multifamily residential, retail, office, self-storage, manufacturing, industrial, hospitality, healthcare, and warehouse/distribution facilities.
• Conduct interviews and perform independent research utilizing local, state, and federal resources.
• Develop Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) in accordance with ASTM E2018 standards.
• Create Property Needs Assessments (PNAs), Property Assessment Screening services, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) adhering to ASTM E1527 standards, along with other client-specific reports.
• Evaluate the current state of significant building and site components, such as roofs, façades, and HVAC systems.
• Assess the effective useful life of essential components and identify needs for replacement or repair along with appropriate timing.
• Perform site reconnaissance, interviews, and independent research.
• Prepare deliverables accompanied by quality supporting documentation, including site figures and appendices.
• Be prepared to travel on short notice when necessary.
• Report directly to the Associate Area Operations Manager.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• 3–5+ years of professional experience in engineering and due diligence consulting, construction, facilities management, or other real estate consulting services.
• Familiarity or experience in gathering data required for ASTM E1527 Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
• Familiarity or experience with Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) in line with ASTM E2018 standards.
• Must be well-established in the Los Angeles, California market.
• Previous travel experience is mandatory.
• Comfortable with a field-based role involving up to 50% local and regional travel.
• Ability to travel on short notice, typically one week or less.
• Capable of preparing quality supporting documentation, including site figures and appendices.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability as business priorities and requirements shift.
• Eligibility for bonuses; total compensation may surpass base salary based on individual performance.
