This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Create innovative conceptual solutions for P3 projects based on designs from the project team, requirements from Facilities Management, and strategies from the pursuit team.
• Oversee pricing processes to ensure final solutions comply with Performance Output Specification requirements.
• Offer design-assist input from the perspectives of facility operations and lifecycle to enhance efficiency and reduce net present costs.
• Develop strong business cases for proposed scopes of work.
• Lead and manage larger, complex, and strategic projects from their inception to Financial Close.
• Generate and oversee development budgets and schedules.
• Review client Performance Output Specifications and team drawings to ensure alignment with Facility Management requirements.
• Optimize designs for building systems and equipment while developing operational plans and cost strategies.
• Lead subject matter experts and strategic partners in formulating operations plans, staffing structures, and cost estimates for O&M, lifecycle, and transition services.
• Participate in design team meetings and advocate for Johnson Controls by reviewing designs in relation to FM requirements.
• Analyze RFP schedules and provide O&M insights to Sales, Legal, and Design & Construction teams.
• Assist in drafting proposal bid text and marking up project documents.
• Contribute to Energy Consumption Guarantee Targets.
• Provide insights on specifications, benchmarking, risk mitigation strategies, and best practices.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality control of final cost proposals.
• Engage in and present at meetings with customers and owner teams.
• Prepare information requests regarding O&M scope, technology, lifecycle, handback conditions, and performance standards.
• Support Sales during internal management reviews throughout the procurement process.
• Transfer knowledge to the Transition team following Financial Close.
• Engage with professional organizations and cultivate relationships within the P3 industry.
• Provide leadership in solution development within the P3 market.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in facility management, O&M leadership, engineering, energy management, and/or construction.
• Proven experience in Facility Management involving a Central Utility Plant and/or Combined Heat and Power Plant.
• Experience in O&M leadership.
• Background in building design and construction.
• Ability to influence members of a Design Build team.
• Strong project management capabilities for large development projects with varied resources.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
• Strong conceptual abilities for developing innovative solution designs.
• Excellent customer-facing skills and comfort in presenting to C-level executives.
• Strong abilities in team leadership and managing solution development teams.
• Outstanding business analysis skills for crafting compelling business cases.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
