This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Lead the coordination and ongoing enhancement of the Section 20 consultation process throughout the organization.
• Oversee and manage Section 20 consultation activities across various projects.
• Prepare and distribute statutory notices in accordance with legislative requirements and deadlines.
• Ensure strong compliance with Section 20 consultation mandates and related legislation.
• Keep precise records and audit trails for consultations, decisions, and customer feedback.
• Cultivate effective working relationships across procurement, finance, operations, investment, and customer-facing teams.
• Handle customer feedback professionally, ensuring responses are accurate and provided within the necessary timelines.
• Organize the annual Section 20 program to facilitate proactive consultation planning.
• Assist with dispensation applications when consultation cannot occur within required deadlines.
• Evaluate processes and pinpoint opportunities for enhancing compliance, communication, and customer outcomes.
• Create guidance documents, toolkits, and training resources to boost organizational knowledge of the Section 20 process.
• Familiarity with Section 20 consultation requirements and statutory consultation procedures.
• Experience in interpreting legal, contractual, or service charge information and conveying it in clear, customer-friendly language.
• Strong skills in project coordination and process management, with the capability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Exceptional written communication abilities and a high degree of accuracy.
• Experience with customer, property, leasehold, finance, or procurement data.
• Confidence in identifying risks, correcting inaccuracies, and ensuring that information provided to customers is accurate and complete.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
• Resilience in managing sensitive customer inquiries, objections, or complaints with professionalism and empathy.
• Understanding of public sector procurement processes is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, Leasehold Reform Act 2002, and their application within Section 20 consultations is preferred.
• Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, if applicable.
• Satisfactory references.
• Valid Right to Work document.
• May require specific qualifications, skills, knowledge, and behaviors to meet the Competence and Conduct Standard for Social Housing.
• If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to pursue a professional qualification.
