Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +30 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the delivery and client engagement for a portfolio of strategic government contracts.

• Develop and sustain strong, trusting relationships with government partners.

• Ensure client trust, team clarity and well-being, staffing, contract management, profit and loss, and organic growth.

• Identify and collaboratively resolve risks related to delivery, processes, culture, expectation management, staffing, milestones, and finances.

• Engage with clients continuously to grasp their vision, meet or exceed expectations, address issues, and provide transparent progress updates.

• Monitor the wider project landscape and expand the portfolio through surge CLINs, option years, and prime-contractor negotiations.

• Collaborate across projects and within the organization to foresee and address delivery challenges.

• Foster delivery environments built on mutual trust between government partners and Nava.

• Scale initiatives through project managers and functional delivery leads.

• Manage portfolio contracts and finances in conjunction with the finance team and facilitate contract modifications.

• Establish and maintain standards for delivery excellence and client service.

• Implement Nava policies and guidance at the program level.

• Contribute to the development and achievement of company objectives and key results.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing delivery outcomes and client relations for small to medium-sized projects.

• Experience with customized software or cloud infrastructure programs/projects.

• Familiarity with working alongside or within government agencies.

• Proven track record in scaling agile development teams and managing projects effectively.

• Experience leading complex projects that involve milestones, dependencies, integrations, risks, uncertainties, or large-scale operations.

• Proficient in Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe methodologies, with knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery.

• Strong problem-solving skills adaptable to multidimensional challenges involving organizations, processes, cultures, and technologies.

• Strategic mindset towards delivery planning and contract management.

• Emphasis on iterative execution to achieve rapid team progress.

• Ability to maintain a broad situational awareness beyond the immediate team.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Willingness to travel occasionally.

• Legal authorization to work within the United States.

• Ability to fulfill requirements for applicable government contracts.

• Work authorization that does not necessitate visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• May be required to undergo a government background check or obtain security clearance.

• Must reside fully remote in one of the designated eligible states.

• Preferred: Program management experience in government, high-visibility production launches, long-term complex IT modernization, proficiency in Jira and Confluence, experience in government-context project management, agile transformation, and production operations alongside product development.
