Program Director – Power Delivery Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the provision of engineering and professional services for substation protection and control, along with physical, civil, and structural scopes for utility clients ranging from 4kV to 765kV.

• Engage with technical teams, monitor team progress, assess team effectiveness, and collaborate with engineering and section managers to enhance program outcomes.

• Analyze program scope for contractual and technical requirements while identifying opportunities to add further value for clients.

• Assess project and program scheduling performance and work towards improving adherence to schedules.

• Evaluate cost performance and implement cost-saving strategies throughout the program.

• Review the quality of deliverables and establish processes and tools aimed at enhancing service quality.

• Analyze the technical skill sets of the team and provide targeted training and skill development.

• Work closely with section managers on engineering delivery, resource allocation, and performance evaluation.

• Collaborate with the PMO to enhance program management and tackle issue management and in-depth investigations.

• Prepare financial forecasts for program revenue and operating income.

• Partner with the Business Development manager and Account Manager on broader client management initiatives.

• Assist the Vice President of Transmission and Substation with assigned special projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in electric utility engineering.

• A functional understanding of the principles and practices of electrical, civil, structural, and mechanical engineering as they relate to power delivery.

• In-depth knowledge of the electric power utility industry.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
