Program Coordinator, Sports & Gaming – Temporary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate agency involvement in national sports-related mentoring initiatives.

• Organize logistics and assist both national and local teams in planning and executing sports clinics, camps, tournaments, and events sponsored by partners.

• Act as a liaison among agencies, corporate partners, and BBBSA staff.

• Assist with event logistics, communications, participant coordination, and follow-up activities.

• Attend selected activations to support execution and observe implementation in real-time.

• Ensure that partner commitments and activation deliverables are met.

• Document insights gained from agency activations and partnership experiences.

• Conduct post-event evaluations with agencies and partners.

• Identify effective implementation strategies and recurring challenges.

• Collect stories, photos, feedback, and evidence of impact.

• Create case studies and implementation examples for dissemination across the network.

• Develop and share content that showcases activation outcomes and lessons learned.

• Maintain a resource repository for Sports & Gaming, including examples and learnings.

• Foster relationships with participating agencies.

• Address agency inquiries regarding Sports & Gaming opportunities and participation criteria.

• Connect agencies with resources, examples, and opportunities for peer learning.

• Gather agency feedback to guide future investments and program design.

• Monitor participating agencies, partnership activations, youth engagement, and event results.

• Maintain records of implementation and activity dashboards.

• Assist with reporting for partners, grants, and internal leadership.

• Provide recommendations for future staffing, investments, and implementation support.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent plus relevant professional experience.

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in program coordination, project coordination, event or partnership activation, nonprofit programming, youth development, community engagement, or a related field.

• Strong preference for experience in coordinating multiple stakeholders, managing event or program logistics, tracking deliverables, and documenting outcomes or lessons learned.

• Experience within a national network, chapter/affiliate model, youth-serving organization, sports-based programming, or corporate partnership environment is advantageous.

• Proven project and program coordination abilities.

• Exceptional relationship-building and customer service skills.

• Experience in supporting events, programs, activations, or similar initiatives from planning through execution and follow-up.

• Superior written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to gather and synthesize both qualitative and quantitative data.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the capacity to adapt to shifting priorities.

• Capability to work independently in a remote setting while effectively collaborating across teams and geographical locations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools.

• Experience with project management, CRM, survey, or data-tracking platforms is preferred.

• Familiarity with Asana is a plus; if not previously used, the ability to quickly learn and effectively adopt new technology platforms is required.

• Willingness and ability to travel periodically within the United States.

• Willingness and ability to work occasional evening or weekend events as business needs dictate.
