This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.
• Engage daily with program managers, accounting, contracts, subcontracts, procurement teams, and external clients to resolve operational challenges.
• Create financial deliverables and generate internal and external reports.
• Contribute to the development of budgets and spending plans for assigned programs.
• Conduct financial analysis on funding profiles and assess program financial variances.
• Execute variance analysis for cost, schedule, and contract performance.
• Initiate and manage purchase requisitions for subcontractors, consultants, and materials.
• Oversee subcontractor expenses and review/approve related invoices.
• Evaluate, monitor, and authorize customer invoice backup documentation.
• Manage multiple tasks and provide efficient and accurate program support.
• Assist throughout the entire program life cycle, from proposal development to contract closeout.
• Formulate and propose strategies and recommendations for addressing financial concerns.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Finance or Accounting.
• Three (3) years of relevant experience in Federal government contracting.
• Experience in providing financial tracking and support for a government client in Program Control, Finance, Cost Estimating, Financial Analysis, or Accounting.
• US Citizenship is required.
• No clearance is needed to start; however, the ability to obtain a Secret clearance is necessary to maintain employment.
• Understanding of corporate business practices, government contracting regulations, and principles of accounting and finance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ROS, ROC, annual operating plans, accounts receivable, revenue and profit forecasts, program baseline data, EAC development, and cost estimating/pricing.
• Capable of making decisions with sound judgment while adhering to policies and procedures.
• Proficient in presenting technical information in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and trends within financial data.
• Advanced Excel proficiency for data modeling, financial analysis, and formula application.
