This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage and implement the national logistics and transportation strategy for the Materials Marketing Group.
• Supervise third-party transportation partners to control costs, ensure efficient service delivery, and strengthen carrier relationships.
• Identify opportunities and drive enhancements while facilitating process development.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing missed pickups, prioritizing commitments, and fulfilling service obligations.
• Guarantee the timely and cost-effective transport of raw materials and finished products to both internal and external clients.
• Respond to same-day alterations and next-day planning requirements to enhance route efficiency and design.
• Gather, interpret, and analyze logistics data, including inventory and asset reliability, to improve routing accuracy and profitability.
• Verify and reconcile data daily to ensure accuracy.
• Assess route challenges that could cause delays and communicate with affected customers.
• Resolve in-transit issues to guarantee on-time pickups and deliveries.
• Provide recommendations for freight-lane optimization and cost reduction strategies.
• Assist in the replacement of software and brokerage tools, cross-train colleagues, and foster departmental synergies.
• Support Key Performance Management objectives.
• Advocate for safe operations and report driver performance issues to management.
• Execute other job-related tasks as assigned.
• A minimum of five years of experience in the transportation sector.
• Proven problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities.
• A process-oriented and results-driven mindset.
• Ability to comprehend and execute time-sensitive tasks effectively.
• Demonstrates and endorses ethical behavior.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
