This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Oversee logistics for three to four exclusive workshops annually, including venue selection, audio/visual arrangements, catering, and conference space setup.
• Assist with the logistics of legislative briefings and training sessions for federal and state legislators and their staff.
• Manage the visiting fellows program, encompassing onboarding, scheduling, and travel arrangements.
• Support the production of the Scaling Laws podcast by coordinating guests, scheduling, conducting preparatory research, creating show notes, and producing social media clips.
• Aid in scheduling and promoting video and social media content.
• Arrange travel and accommodation for staff and fellows attending program events.
• Facilitate the commissioned papers workflow, which includes tracking, scheduling, and administrative coordination with external authors.
• Maintain program calendars, monitor deliverables and deadlines, and ensure daily operations remain on track.
• Assist in program reporting and documentation required by funders.
• Provide general administrative and scheduling assistance to the research director and program team.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Lawfare management.
• Recent college graduate or possess 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Strong skills in organization, logistics, and project coordination.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple workstreams and meet deadlines concurrently.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proficient in coordinating activities among staff, fellows, external experts, and vendors.
• Capability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Initiative and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong interest in artificial intelligence, technology policy, law, or national security is highly advantageous.
• Experience in event planning, podcast or media production, or program administration is beneficial.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support program events.
• Submission of a resume, cover letter (maximum of two pages), a writing sample (up to 1,500 words), and two references with email addresses is required.
