Professional Services Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and configure Palo Alto Networks virtual appliances, such as VM-Series, CN-Series, and Prisma Cloud, across AWS, Azure, GCP, and private cloud environments.

• Create infrastructure-as-code and automation scripts for deployment, scaling, and operational management.

• Provide technical leadership and architectural advice to customer engineering teams and executive stakeholders.

• Convert enterprise requirements into scalable and secure cloud network architectures.

• Oversee technical milestones in relation to statements of work, ensuring deployments, testing, and transitions are completed on time.

• Collaborate with Consulting Engineers on DevOps practices and architectural best practices.

• Coordinate with Palo Alto Networks TAC to address tier-3/tier-4 escalation issues.

• Generate architecture diagrams, runbooks, and handover documentation.

• Lead technical workstreams or distributed project teams.

• Travel to client locations for onsite deployments, workshops, and architectural reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing enterprise workloads across public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI).

• Experience in architecting solutions in enterprise or service provider settings utilizing VMware NSX, OpenStack, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience integrating network security solutions within large-scale distributed architectures.

• Strong foundational understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, TLS/SSL, and IPsec.

• Proficiency in Python, Terraform, or Ansible.

• Professional-level public cloud certification in at least one major platform.

• Experience in leading complex technical workstreams, multi-phase client deliveries, and managing competing project deadlines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Willingness to travel 15–20% to client locations.

• Must not require immigration sponsorship; the employer will not sponsor work visas.

• Preferred: advanced certifications such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate, VMware VCAP-NV, or Palo Alto Networks PCNSE/PCDRA.

• Preferred: experience with AWS CloudFormation/CDK or Azure Bicep/ARM.

• Preferred: familiarity with LLM architectures, agentic frameworks, and emerging security paradigms for AI applications.
