Professional Consultant, SAP Authorization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist the SAP Basis administration team in catering to the needs of demanding clients within the SAP Basis domain

• Manage all SAP products, with an emphasis on ERP and BW

• Oversee and operate customer SAP systems

• Conduct monitoring, service-level reporting, and Managed System Configuration in Solution Manager

• Administer roles and authorizations

• Handle change and transport management, including the transportation of transport requests

• Implement Support Packages and SAP Notes

• Execute client copies, kernel upgrades, and system copies

• Manage databases

• Ensure operational functionality as part of the on-call service

• Provide general support and manage process tickets

• Assist during the transition phase

• Maintain operational manuals

• Collaborate with backup, infrastructure, and other operations teams, along with project consultants

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field from a university, university of applied sciences, or cooperative education institution; or equivalent professional experience or vocational training

• Several years of experience in SAP Basis and SAP operations

• Proven experience in managing relevant customer transitions and SAP system administration

• SAP-certified Technology Consultant

• Proficient in at least two of the following platforms: Windows, i5/OS (IBM i, AS/400), AIX, and Linux

• Comprehensive database knowledge of HANA and at least one additional database system (DB2, Oracle, ASE, or MaxDB)

• Fluent in German and possess good written and spoken English skills

• Independent, team-oriented, meticulous, and structured in work approach

• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and processes

• Excellent communication skills and a passion for collaborating with colleagues, employees, and customers
