Professional Consultant, SAP Authorization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist the SAP Basis Administration team in catering to a wide array of demanding clients within the SAP Basis landscape.

• Manage all SAP products, particularly focusing on ERP and BW.

• Oversee and maintain SAP customer systems.

• Conduct monitoring, service-level reporting, and configuration management in SAP Solution Manager.

• Administer roles within the authorization management framework.

• Handle changes and transports efficiently.

• Implement Support Packages and SAP Notes as required.

• Execute client copies, kernel upgrades, and system copies.

• Manage databases effectively.

• Ensure system availability as part of the on-call service.

• Provide general support and address process tickets.

• Assist during the transition phase.

• Maintain operational manuals diligently.

• Collaborate with backup, infrastructure, and other operational teams, along with project consultants.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a related discipline from a university, university of applied sciences, or vocational academy; or an equivalent level of professional experience or vocational training.

• Multiple years of experience in SAP Basis and SAP operations.

• Proven experience in managing customer transitions and administering SAP systems.

• SAP-certified Technology Consultant.

• Strong proficiency in at least two of the following platforms: Windows, i5/OS (IBM i, AS/400), AIX, and Linux.

• Extensive database expertise in HANA and at least one other database system, such as DB2, Oracle, ASE, or MaxDB.

• Fluent in German and possess good written and spoken English skills.

• Independent, team-oriented, detail-oriented, and methodical work approach.

• Capacity to quickly grasp new technologies and processes.

• Excellent communication skills with a passion for collaborating with colleagues, employees, and clients.
