Product Owner, Revenue Management – FP&A

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Controllers, Revenue Management, and FP&A teams to establish and prioritize the product vision and strategy for financial functions.

• Assist in budgeting cycles by enhancing Pigment for strategic financial analysis and forecasting.

• Take ownership of the Record to Report value chain, prioritizing the product roadmap for NetSuite, BlackLine, and Pigment.

• Connect technical accounting requirements, including ASC 606, month-end close, and audit readiness, with system architecture.

• Ensure compliance of NetSuite ARM, BlackLine, Zip, and Pigment with changing accounting standards.

• Convert business requirements into epics and user stories within an Agile framework.

• Work alongside development and system administration teams to deliver documented, controlled, and high-quality product features.

• Evaluate product performance and organizational feedback to pinpoint areas for process improvement.

• Oversee product documentation, organizational change management, training plans, and supporting materials.

• Align the technology stack with corporate strategy and long-term objectives.

• Coordinate with Product Owners to ensure accurate billing and accounts receivable data integration into revenue and general ledger reporting.

• Organize, facilitate, and oversee User Acceptance Testing for implementations, enhancements, and upgrades.

• Partner with IT, Security, and Audit on the governance of General IT Controls and audit preparedness.

• Collaborate with other Business Systems Product Owners on process changes upstream and downstream that impact financial transactions and reporting.

• Lead product delivery within an Agile/Scrum team by refining the backlog, balancing automation with enhancements, and creating IT requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar capacity.

• Familiarity with NetSuite ARM (Advanced Revenue Management).

• Knowledge of ASC 606 related to accounting and finance processes, specifically in revenue recognition, journal entries, Record to Report, close cycles, and consolidations.

• Experience with at least one complete SaaS-based ERP implementation.

• Proficient in using Pigment for managing or implementing FP&A solutions; experience with Anaplan or Workday Adaptive Planning is a plus.

• Experience with Month-End Closing tools, particularly BlackLine.

• Proven experience in developing, testing through the entire testing cycle, and deploying customizations, custom objects, system configurations, and new functionalities.

• Skills in resolving issues at integration points such as Salesforce, Concur, Workday, and data warehouses.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including crafting clear and concise product requirements and user stories.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to utilize data for decision-making and prioritization.

• A minimum of 3–4 years of experience working within an Agile development environment.

• Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple business initiatives simultaneously.

• Solid project management background, whether in Agile or Waterfall methodologies.

• Capability to accurately identify tasks and estimate work.

• Bachelor’s Degree in information technologies, finance, accounting, or a related field.
