Product Manager, Protocol

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the roadmap for Morpho's protocol team and identify high-impact opportunities.

• Conduct ongoing discovery processes with curators, distributors, integrators, developers, and other protocol users.

• Convert user and market insights into product requirements, decision-making frameworks, and criteria for success.

• Collaborate with protocol, engineering, research, security, legal, solutions, partnerships, and marketing teams from the exploration phase through to launch and adoption.

• Assess product and technical trade-offs, including protocol extensions, infrastructure enhancements, partner enablement, and complexity avoidance.

• Establish and monitor both quantitative and qualitative metrics to evaluate the success of protocol initiatives.

• Convey product direction, decisions, trade-offs, and release implications to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Enhance product decision-making and documentation as Morpho and its ecosystem evolve.

• Create a prioritized overview of protocol challenges and opportunities.

• Propel significant initiatives from discovery to execution, delivering protocol enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing technical products within complex or rapidly changing environments.

• A proven history of guiding products or major features from uncertain problem areas to launch and iterative improvement.

• Strong technical fluency, including understanding system design and constraints, with a deep engagement with engineers and researchers.

• Capability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Exceptional product judgment and principled prioritization skills.

• Proficient in user discovery and synthesis methods.

• Experience in leading cross-functional initiatives without formal authority.

• Ability to define success, utilize both quantitative and qualitative data, and adjust direction based on new information.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in asynchronous settings.

• Comfort in creating clarity and facilitating decisions in highly ambiguous situations.

• Strong sense of ownership and autonomy.

• A team-oriented mindset with low ego.

• Experience in crypto, DeFi, traditional finance, or fintech is a plus.

• Familiarity with lending markets, smart contracts, or permissionless protocols is advantageous.

• Experience delivering products that involve substantial security, audit, regulatory, or governance considerations is a bonus.
