
Product Manager II β Payment Orchestration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
β’ Take ownership of the roadmap and implementation for the payment orchestration platform, which encompasses the orchestrator, transaction lifecycle, receipts, and webhook ingress.
β’ Enhance authorization rates and cost efficiency through effective routing, provider selection, retries, and failover mechanisms across PSPs and gateways.
β’ Oversee authorizations, captures, refunds, voids, and disputes while ensuring accuracy, idempotency, and state integrity.
β’ Develop reliable inbound webhook processing that normalizes, deduplicates, and disseminates provider events to downstream services.
β’ Ensure the accuracy of receipts and transaction records.
β’ Collaborate with engineering to create well-documented payment APIs and events.
β’ Propel instrumentation, alerting, reconciliation, uptime, latency, and error-rate enhancements.
β’ Maintain compliance with PCI standards, as well as ensure risk management, data integrity, security, scalability, and adherence to regulations.
β’ Work in partnership with engineering, design, data, risk, support, and partner-facing teams.
β’ Utilize payments data to prioritize the roadmap and assess impact.
β’ Achieve measurable enhancements in transaction success, platform reliability, provider coverage, and user experience for builders.
β’ Minimum of 4 years of Product Management experience with a focus on payments, fintech, platform, or API/infrastructure products.
β’ Proven history of delivering impactful platform or infrastructure features that bolster reliability, coverage, or transaction success in a high-scale environment.
β’ Solid understanding of payment systems, PSP/gateway integrations, the authorization-to-settlement lifecycle, webhooks, idempotency, and reconciliation processes.
β’ Strong technical proficiency and capacity to collaborate with engineering on API design, event models, and system trade-offs.
β’ Familiarity with SaaS and platform growth drivers, such as internal platform adoption, developer experience, and reliability as a key factor in customer trust.
β’ Experience in building and delivering features within payments, fintech, or platform/infrastructure ecosystems.
β’ Ability to analyze payment routing, PSP integrations, idempotency, event delivery, retries, timeouts, duplicates, and reconciliation challenges.
β’ Data-driven mindset when evaluating transaction logs, reasons for failures, provider peculiarities, authorization rates, latency, and reconciliation discrepancies.
