Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for the product direction within Uniware’s software portfolio.

• Create and uphold the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.

• Gain insights into customers, users, markets, competitive positioning, and product performance.

• Lead organized product discovery sessions with customers and internal stakeholders.

• Identify and prioritize products, features, and enhancements.

• Define customer outcomes, requirements, user journeys, and acceptance criteria.

• Direct Product participation throughout the AI-DLC process.

• Collaborate across Development, QA, Commercial, Account Management, Support, and other teams.

• Gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements from customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders.

• Facilitate customer interviews, workshops, product walkthroughs, roadshows, and discovery sessions.

• Integrate customer research with usage, support, commercial, market, and other evidence.

• Evaluate opportunities based on customer value, commercial potential, strategic fit, feasibility, risk, and evidence.

• Employ AI tools for research, discovery, analysis, prototyping, requirements definition, and documentation.

• Utilize AI responsibly with regard to confidentiality, data protection, security, intellectual property, and human review.

• Ensure projects commence with well-defined problems, outcomes, user journeys, and requirements.

• Take into account security, performance, reliability, accessibility, compliance, implementation, support, and operational requirements.

• Collaborate with Development on technical decisions and product outcomes.

• Partner with QA to validate functionality against requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Maintain oversight of delivery progress, risks, blockers, and expected delivery timelines.

• Support business cases, product positioning, internal enablement, demonstrations, and customer communications.

• Lead Early Adopter engagement, collect feedback, identify usability issues, and coordinate issue resolution.

• Utilize Early Adopter feedback and product-performance data to inform broader rollout changes.

• Define and track product health and success metrics.

• Assess product health, strategic relevance, and commercial performance.

• Monitor competitor products, market trends, and emerging technologies.

• Communicate product decisions, priorities, rationale, and changes to stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in a Product Manager, Senior Product Owner, or similar software product role.

• Experience in a software or technology environment.

• Demonstrated success in guiding products or significant features from customer discovery through to definition, delivery, launch, and adoption.

• Experience in developing or significantly influencing product strategy and roadmap.

• Strong skills in customer discovery and requirements analysis.

• Solid commercial awareness and ability to evaluate opportunities based on customer and business value.

• Experience leveraging qualitative and quantitative evidence to support product decisions.

• Good understanding of software product development processes.

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

• Experience engaging directly with customers and presenting product concepts or functionalities.

• Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.

• Ability to cultivate strong relationships with customers and colleagues at all business levels.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to balance customer, commercial, operational, and technical considerations.

• Strong understanding of user experience and the significance of UI/UX in product development.

• Proven ability to provide product leadership and influence cross-functional teams without relying on formal line-management authority.

• Ability to constructively challenge experienced stakeholders and create clarity when priorities or viewpoints differ.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing demands.

• Ability to distill complex information into clear product decisions and communications.

• Strong attention to detail while maintaining a focus on the overarching product objective.

• Comfortable utilizing modern AI tools as part of daily Product work.

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar systems is advantageous.

• Experience in EPoS, payments, catering, hospitality, or retail technology is a plus.
