This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and take ownership of the data product roadmap in alignment with business priorities and OKRs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify, document, and prioritize data product requirements.
• Create data product specifications that encompass schemas, SLAs, access controls, and comprehensive documentation.
• Work alongside data engineers to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of data products.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for data product utilization, quality, and the business value delivered.
• Manage the data product catalog and metadata to facilitate discoverability and self-service capabilities.
• Lead the planning of data product sprints, backlog grooming, capacity management, and release management activities.
• Act as the main point of contact for data consumers across various business domains.
• Promote the adoption of the data product framework and advocate for a data-as-a-product culture.
• Coordinate with governance, information security, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to product-level policies.
• Over 7 years of experience in product management, data management, or analytics roles.
• More than 3 years of managing data products within a contemporary data lakehouse or data warehouse environment.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data lineage, and metadata management practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Excellent skills in stakeholder management and communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Preferred: Experience with DataHub, Apache Atlas, or Alation for data cataloging purposes.
• Preferred: Understanding of data mesh and domain-oriented data ownership models.
• Preferred: Certifications such as CDMP, PMP, or Agile Product Owner.
