Product Development Project Manager – Consumer Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and manage the product cost calculator, encompassing materials, manufacturing, packaging, freight, and landed costs.

• Develop and revise pricing models to align with margin targets and inform sales strategies.

• Design and oversee product development timelines and Gantt charts for various projects.

• Collaborate daily with the team in China to monitor samples, approvals, revisions, and production milestones.

• Keep the Sales team informed about product status, launch timelines, costs, and any modifications.

• Identify delays, cost variations, and risks at an early stage, and suggest solutions.

• Organize project documentation, trackers, and status reports effectively.

• Conduct regular check-ins to ensure stakeholder alignment and facilitate decision-making.

• Enhance processes and tools to ensure smooth product development as the portfolio expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in project management within consumer product development, preferably with physical goods sold in retail or e-commerce.

• Proven track record of managing product timelines from concept through sampling, production, and launch phases.

• Strong grasp of product costing, pricing strategies, and margin analysis.

• Proficient in advanced Excel or Google Sheets, with the capability to create and maintain cost models.

• Familiarity with building Gantt charts and project plans using tools such as Smartsheet, Monday, Asana, MS Project, or similar software.

• Experience liaising with overseas suppliers or manufacturing teams, especially in China, is highly advantageous.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Highly organized and adept at managing multiple products at varying stages of development.

• A background solely in software, IT, or localization project management is not suitable.
