Product Builder, Merchant Portal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define, design, and develop comprehensive proof-of-concept features, interactive prototypes, and technical environments for desktop, iOS, Android, and hardware terminals/kiosks.

• Create technical specifications, wireframes, and schemas, including permission rulesets based on employee roles, table mapping mockups, and customizations for modifiers.

• Establish product evaluation criteria ("evals") prior to feature creation to validate solutions and assess success.

• Engage in direct user discovery sessions with merchants and sales partners.

• Transform feedback into actionable solutions within a matter of hours.

• Track competitor release schedules and innovations in point-of-sale technology.

• Utilize modern LLM APIs and AI coding agents for product discovery, code generation, and functional prototyping.

• Define, design, and prototype features for Payments Hub, North’s merchant portal that encompasses transactions, reporting, disputes, online ordering/store management, and integrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in roles such as Product Manager, Product Engineer, Product Analyst, or other similar technical product positions.

• 1-2 years of experience utilizing AI tools.

• Demonstrated experience collaborating with Agile software development teams.

• Strong expertise in using Jira and contemporary product management software.

• Product Owner Certification (CSPO, etc.) is preferred.

• Experience in the payments or fintech industry is highly desirable.

• Solid technical foundation with proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, and REST/web APIs.

• Practical experience in native or cross-platform iOS and Android mobile development.

• Familiarity with payment hardware ecosystems, including card readers, POS terminals, and kiosks.

• High proficiency with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted coding agents.
