This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Lead product innovation by creating new, inventive products and enhancing existing offerings.
β’ Conduct research and gather insights on significant trends, regulatory shifts, and market demands.
β’ Aid in the formulation and execution of multi-year strategic plans aimed at profitable growth of the product line.
β’ Analyze and track outcomes to ensure alignment with UFG's objectives.
β’ Assess coverages for product enhancement, competitive edge, legal cases, legislative actions, and State Insurance Department regulations.
β’ Collaborate with the Product Supervisor and various UFG departments on strategic product roadmaps.
β’ Sustain current systems and coverages while assisting in the development of new products.
β’ Review competitor market intelligence, bureau programs, ISO, AAIS, and/or NCCI circulars.
β’ Establish relationships with both internal and external partners to accomplish projects.
β’ Act as a subject matter expert on coverage inquiries for underwriting, training, claims, pricing, and compliance.
β’ Draft new coverage forms and modifications to existing ones.
β’ Contribute to proactive product evaluations and suggest product enhancements.
β’ Prepare filing documents and guide filing analysts.
β’ Mentor and train new Product Analysts while creating and updating training materials.
β’ Clearly and accurately communicate product decisions and recommendations.
β’ Define requirements for system application-related product modifications.
β’ High school diploma or equivalent is required.
β’ A Bachelor's degree or higher is strongly preferred in business administration, finance, insurance, risk management, or a related field.
β’ An equivalent combination of education and work experience in a related field is acceptable.
β’ Industry designation(s) such as AINS, AU, or CPCU are preferred, or actively pursuing recognized insurance designations.
β’ 3+ years of relevant experience in property and casualty insurance.
β’ Previous experience in product development, forms development, and/or underwriting is strongly preferred.
β’ Familiarity and comfort with ISO, AAIS, NCCI, and other bureaus.
β’ Familiarity with market and competitive research tools.
β’ Ability to self-manage workload, remain organized, and prioritize tasks to meet goals established with the supervisor.
β’ Clear understanding of departmental and enterprise processes.
β’ Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, SERFF, AM Best, ACL, Guidewire, Smart Communications, Tableau, JIRA, Confluence, and Miro.
β’ Capability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
β’ General office conditions; consistent computer and phone usage for up to 8 hours daily.
