This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Engage daily with supply chain managers, operations teams, and value stream leaders to assess and prioritize essential supplier components.
• Collaborate with procurement to escalate part-related issues, secure supplier commitments, and update SAP Mismatch tools and internal tracking documents.
• Enhance supplier schedules to align with material requirements planning (MRP) necessities and report updates to operations and supply chain managers.
• Ensure accurate material availability data is maintained in SAP and internal tracking systems.
• Verify supplier commitments and input revised information into SAP and tracking files.
• Provide daily updates on the status of critical parts and highlight any risks or changes.
• Remove internal barriers through quality inspections, first article reviews, and engineering modifications.
• Participate in weekly supply chain, site, and business unit meetings, delivering comprehensive part status updates.
• Oversee the RAIL and refresh EPS and ECS presentations.
• Manage shipping commitments spreadsheets in relation to demand and overdue items.
• Gather and document information from second- and third-source suppliers while driving open actions.
• Monitor quality notifications, supplier-related challenges, and first article inspections, and facilitate resolutions.
• Analyze processing times for open supplier-related issues, prioritize them, and ensure prompt closure.
• Assist the supply chain team with minor actions and ad hoc tasks.
• Proactively coordinate efforts to enhance turnaround times for problem-part resolutions.
• Identify risks affecting line replaceable unit builds and escalate any concerns.
• Optimize communication procedures across the supply chain.
• Utilize data tracking tools to enhance reporting accuracy, forecasting, and decision-making.
• Experience in procurement and supply chain operations, with a solid understanding of supplier commitments and material requirements.
• A strong customer service orientation, capable of supporting internal stakeholders and responding swiftly to part-related inquiries.
• Proficient in data entry and maintaining precise records in tracking tools and enterprise systems such as SAP.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with operations and supply chain personnel on a daily basis.
• Expertise in identifying and escalating part issues while coordinating resolutions across diverse teams.
• Competence in managing and updating spreadsheets and tracking documents, including shipping commitments and material status reports.
• Familiarity with SAP or comparable enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for managing material and supplier information.
• Previous experience in aerospace or complex manufacturing settings is advantageous.
• Comfort with various data tracking tools and presentations, including EPS and ECS formats.
• Ability to analyze processing times and prioritize issues based on risk and impact.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple actions and follow-ups concurrently.
