Procurement Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Ensure the execution, upkeep, and adherence to purchasing and logistics-related activities within the Procurement function.

• Carry out designated tasks in accordance with ABB standard procedures.

• Provide and engage in training programs as necessary.

• Oversee Procurement Gate Model activities, organize project procurement gate meetings, and develop and maintain procurement-related project documentation.

• Coordinate procurement efforts for Research and Development (R&D) initiatives.

• Serve as the liaison between technology and product management project teams and Business Line Procurement teams.

• Implement purchasing and logistics strategies by enhancing supplier and product costs, quality, and reliability.

• Create and execute plans and strategies for local sourcing of products and materials.

• Assist in effective local sourcing strategies that align with business objectives.

• Utilize procurement standards, tools, and processes, including supplier negotiations and contracts, to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, cost, and supplier sustainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Procurement/Supply Chain, or a related field.

• Strong technical knowledge to effectively collaborate between Procurement, Engineering, and other teams.

• Demonstrated experience in Procurement.

• Proven success in supplier management and coordination of R&D projects.

• Excellent analytical abilities for cost optimization, value chain analysis, and risk evaluation.

• Strong Project Management skills with experience in Agile Gate Model methodologies.

• Effective negotiation and communication abilities to interact with engineers, suppliers, other stakeholders, and managers.

• Proven achievements in identifying and onboarding new cost-competitive suppliers.

• Familiarity with Brand Labeling, ODM, OEM, JDM, EMS, and manufacturing environments is an advantage.
