This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +2 more countries.
• Take complete ownership of the operational aspects of Finom’s Target2 transition from start to finish.
• Establish, document, validate, and uphold Payment Operations procedures for direct T2 participation.
• Manage SCT Inst recalls, SCT/SCT Inst inquiries and investigations, SWIFT messaging, ISO 20022 flows, monitoring of incoming funds, rejects, returns, and refunds.
• Operate and sustain access to T2 GUI/dashboard, CRDM reference data, TARGET access controls, authorization matrices, certificates, and segregation of duties.
• Oversee the dual-route migration from indirect participation to direct involvement.
• Handle interfaces within Payment Operations concerning reconciliation, liquidity monitoring, MCA, RTGS DCA, and TIPS DCA.
• Redesign processes for incident detection and escalation, evaluating their impact on payments.
• Manage DNB notifications, reporting, evidence retention, and the role of Payment Ops in ECONS II contingency processes.
• Collaborate with the T2 scheme/Eurosystem, DNB, SWIFT/NSP, FIS, correspondent banks, Product, Engineering, Reconciliation, Compliance, Risk, and Finance Ops.
• Determine the balance between automation and manual operations, and clarify back-office development requirements.
• Create documented procedures, ownership structures, escalation/fallback processes, and UAT evidence.
• Ensure a successful migration with stable business-as-usual operations and no lingering operational dependency on BNPP.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in payment operations within a bank, EMI, or PSP.
• Practical exposure to SEPA schemes, specifically SCT and SCT Inst.
• Direct experience with TARGET Services, including T2/RTGS and TIPS, with direct connectivity.
• Solid understanding of payment investigations, recalls, and workflows for returns/refunds.
• Proficient with SWIFT and ISO 20022 messaging, including MT199/MT999, pacs, camt, and pain formats.
• Experience in operating T2 GUI, CRDM, and tools for reconciliation and liquidity monitoring, including U2A/A2A actions.
• Capability to design and document SOPs, implement four-eyes controls, authorization matrices, and produce audit-quality evidence.
• Proven experience in liaising with regulators, scheme operators, SWIFT/NSP, service providers, correspondent banks, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to independently manage sign-offs, incident escalation, and regulatory reporting decisions.
• Familiarity with DNB/TARGET-NL conditions, the Instant Payments Regulation, and EMI/PSD2 operational obligations.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Previous experience with direct TARGET/RTGS/TIPS onboarding or migrations from sponsor banks to direct participation is advantageous.
• Experience in establishing incident management and ECONS II contingency processes is a plus.
