Process Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assess, standardize, and enhance operational workflows across various facilities.

• Assist in IT Asset Disposition operations that include receiving, sorting, testing, data sanitization, refurbishment, and shipping.

• Conduct facility visits to observe and analyze frontline workflows.

• Collaborate with operators and site leaders to pinpoint discrepancies between actual operations and established procedures.

• Map the flow of materials and information while conducting root-cause analysis on bottlenecks and rework queues.

• Implement Lean methodologies such as 5S, VSM, Kaizen, and standard work.

• Create standard operating procedures, visual job aids, and work instructions.

• Perform time and motion studies to evaluate cycle times, labor utilization, and throughput.

• Monitor KPIs including first-pass yield, processing time, and unit processing costs.

• Enhance floor layouts, tooling, and ergonomics.

• Work alongside IT/Operations to improve serialized asset tracking and data entry.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in process engineering, industrial engineering, continuous improvement, or related operational optimization roles.

• Hands-on expertise in applying Lean principles in manufacturing, refurbishment, warehousing, or reverse logistics settings.

• Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt certification is advantageous.

• High level of proficiency in spreadsheet modeling using Excel/Google Sheets.

• Exceptional communication and project leadership abilities.

• Previous experience in ITAD, electronics recycling/refurbishment, serialized asset tracking/WMS systems, or enterprise IT hardware is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).

• Willingness to travel frequently within the country, with occasional international trips.
