Private Equity Associate – Consumer, Leisure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Develop a functional financial model for a designated consumer/leisure transaction using a synthetic deal document package.

• Provide an editable Excel workbook containing live formulas, source references, and specified assumptions.

• Conduct peer reviews of two anonymized models submitted by other contractors based on a defined set of criteria.

• Create a brief written explanation for each peer review and complete the associated review scorecard.

• Participate in projects aimed at training and improving AI systems for Mercor’s partner AI labs and enterprises.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of overall experience.

• Around 2 years of investment banking experience in Consumer/Retail or generalist M&A, preferably in Paris, London, or other European locations.

• 1–2 years of experience in mid-market or large-cap private equity.

• Currently or recently serving as an Associate at a mid-market or large-cap PE fund.

• Focus on consumer, leisure, or multi-site services, including fitness clubs, owned vs. franchise models, or multi-site roll-ups.

• Preference for candidates with experience in the Paris office or French deals.

• Capability to construct a financial model from source documents without relying on a template.

• Proficient in English.

• Available for approximately 20–25 hours over a span of 1.5–2 weeks.

• Must operate as an independent contractor.

• H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not eligible.
