Privacy Implementation Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Convert privacy obligations and legal direction into well-defined business and technical requirements, outlining owners, dependencies, deadlines, and implementation steps.

• Take ownership of the operational execution of essential privacy initiatives, collaborating with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Security to coordinate deliverables, address obstacles, and lead workstreams to completion.

• Assist in the implementation and ongoing supervision of privacy controls across StackAdapt’s digital assets, advertising technologies, and data collection methods.

• Collaborate with technical teams to grasp and document data flows, system dependencies, and data storage practices that facilitate deletion, suppression, retention, and data-use regulations.

• Aid in formulating reporting and analytics guidelines and establishing data retention requirements based on business and client demands.

• Implement and oversee privacy, compliance, tracking, governance, or technical workflow tools, which include a third-party tracking technology testing tool.

• Evaluate and document privacy controls, including pixel and tag behavior, consent signals, opt-outs, deletion workflows, and retention measures.

• Develop repeatable processes for privacy intake, backlog management, testing, and reporting.

• Leverage AI tools and automation to enhance quality assurance and boost the efficiency of the Privacy team.

• Report directly to the VP of Legal, Privacy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in privacy operations, privacy implementation, technical program management, product operations, compliance operations, legal operations, data governance, or a related field.

• Proven experience working directly with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Security, or other technical teams.

• Excellent project management abilities and the capacity to drive multiple workstreams to completion.

• Proficient in understanding technical concepts such as data flows, APIs, pixels, tags, consent signals, databases, deletion workflows, retention, and system integrations.

• Knowledgeable about privacy concepts, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, U.S. state privacy laws, consent, opt-outs, data deletion, retention, and privacy by design.

• Experience in implementing or managing privacy, compliance, tracking, governance, or technical workflow tools.

• Practical experience utilizing AI tools or automation to enhance operational efficiency or quality assurance.

• Strong communication, documentation, attention to detail, and judgment skills.

• Bonus: Experience in advertising technology, marketing technology, data platforms, measurement, tracking, or another technically complex environment.

• Bonus: Familiarity with StackAdapt’s products, systems, or infrastructure.

• Bonus: Experience in supporting pixels, tags, tracking technologies, or client-facing digital properties.
