This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.
• Accurately and efficiently process assigned Care Coordination Services and Health Information Management tasks while adhering to client protocols.
• Assess medical documents and electronically organize them within patient charts.
• Utilize client electronic health records (EHR) software and internal systems effectively.
• Manage a high volume of work while ensuring quality and precision.
• Execute data entry and typing tasks with efficiency.
• Participate in cross-training for multiple EHRs to support team coverage.
• Adhere to established filing processes and consult documentation or supervisors as necessary.
• Implement client protocols, Service Level Agreements, Planning Guidelines, and Target Transactions per Hour requirements.
• Monitor completed work, track hourly time, and maintain transaction counts.
• Finalize assigned tasks and communicate variances, issues, delays, and resolutions to management.
• Uphold confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines and procedures.
• Deliver customer service to external customers, vendors, visitors, coworkers, and management.
• Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions.
• Safeguard sensitive data and adhere to company and client compliance standards.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth department and company operations.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Previous experience with health information management concepts, EHRs, and/or medical terminology is advantageous.
• Proficient in operating within a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to adapt to company-specific software.
• Capable of efficiently navigating multiple open programs, windows, and applications.
• Strong focus on detail and accuracy is essential.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks, including sitting, talking, hearing, using hands, reaching, standing, walking, driving, and occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Willingness to work occasional after-hours or weekends may be required.
• Ability to perform responsibilities remotely while ensuring access to strong and reliable internet in a designated, secure, and private workspace.
• Must be able to work according to the Alaska Time Zone schedule.
• Option to work remotely from a home office environment.
• Onsite and hybrid work arrangements may also be available.
• Participation in required meetings and training sessions.
