Prior Authorization Clinical Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform clinical review processes for Prior Authorizations for WellDyne’s retail clients.

• Make determinations for clinical pharmacy evaluations and respond to inquiries from Account Teams and PA support personnel.

• Sustain an extensive library of clinical documents for team utilization.

• Engage in formulary development, pharmacy service-related activities, and clinical initiatives.

• Operate in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.

• Foster effective teamwork and participate in relevant meetings as required.

• Aid in the training and professional development of other pharmacy staff.

• Adhere to and help enforce company policies and protocols.

• Stay updated on advancements in the professional domain.

• Uphold HIPAA confidentiality standards.

• Respond to clinical drug information queries as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Pharmacist License in good standing.

• Capability to obtain licensure in multiple states as necessary.

• At least two years of pharmacy experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Background in Drug Information is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate effectively, patiently, and courteously.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks or interruptions at once.

• Ability to collaborate with pharmacists, other departments, clients, and management.

• Capability to work autonomously, make clinical judgments with minimal supervision, and meet daily deadlines.

• Minimum internet speed of 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload, verified by HR through a speed test.

• Requirement to connect using a hard-wired Ethernet connection.

• Mobile device necessary for VPN push notifications and system support.
