This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer subject matter expertise in UX design and strategic direction by employing Human-Centered Design and design-thinking methodologies.
• Deliver Information Architecture expertise, encompassing structures, navigation models, taxonomies, labeling systems, content hierarchies, and information relationships.
• Develop UX research plans, outcomes, reports, checklists, and subsequent steps for each use case.
• Lead generative research and discovery sessions with users and business stakeholders.
• Evaluate current features, content, Information Architecture, accessibility, business processes, data, and analytics.
• Collaborate with Product Teams to incorporate tools and services into existing frameworks.
• Create consistent navigation, terminology, categorization, and information frameworks.
• Direct UI design and development for applications.
• Provide actionable interface design specifications to development teams.
• Craft dynamic forms, rich cards, drag-and-drop features, wireframes, prototypes, and interactive web forms.
• Define and uphold UX frameworks, templates, design standards, and Information Architecture governance.
• Utilize research insights to outline product functionality, epics, user stories, and operational, business, functional, technical, data, and integration requirements.
• Integrate research findings and share insights through reports, narratives, videos, and storyboards.
• Conduct requirements analysis and gather stakeholder feedback.
• Create user personas, customer journeys, user journeys, workflows, and empathy maps.
• Align journeys, content, and functionality with an overall Information Architecture.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, designers, and various cross-functional teams.
• Execute usability testing and analyze outcomes to enhance designs.
• Write and edit clear, plain-language content for development teams.
• Establish user-centered terminology and labeling conventions.
• Work with ReactJS, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Tailwind.
• Design within a microservice architecture.
• MA/MS plus 10+ years of general experience in information systems with 8+ years of specialized experience.
• HS with 16+ years, AA/AS with 14+ years, BA/BS with 12+ years, or Doctorate Degree/Ph.D. with 9+ years.
• Knowledge of front-end development, ReactJS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of UX, information architecture, content strategy, and best practices in user-centered design.
• Significant experience developing Information Architecture for intricate enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with card sorting, tree testing, content inventories, taxonomy evaluation, and navigation testing.
• Proficiency in creating IA deliverables such as site maps, application maps, navigation models, taxonomy documentation, content hierarchies, and IA diagrams.
• Experience in designing software that aligns with strategic business objectives and goals.
• Background in researching advanced technologies to ascertain how IT can meet business needs.
• Proficiency with Figma or similar design tools.
• Familiarity with usability testing tools.
• A UI/UX design portfolio showcasing Information Architecture deliverables and complex enterprise applications or digital products.
• Experience in designing dynamic forms.
• Extensive experience in creating CSS cards and drag-and-drop functionality.
• Experience with UX strategy, user research, interviews, surveys, usability studies, personas, journey maps, and empathy maps.
• Background in competitive analysis, market assessments, and heuristic evaluations.
• Hands-on experience in developing and testing wireframes and prototypes.
• Detailed knowledge of Section 508 requirements and experience in designing 508-compliant interfaces.
• Understanding of accessible Information Architecture.
• Experience in defining and maintaining design standards and IA governance.
• Extensive experience using Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working in an agile environment with knowledge of SAFe.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Exceptional presentation and written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with high-level customer stakeholders.
• Experience in identifying and applying industry tools, solutions, methods, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, leadership, and meeting facilitation abilities.
• Experience in process design, documentation, process and use-case modeling, and business case development.
• Ability to lead IA workshops and alignment sessions.
• Capacity to effectively communicate IA decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
