Principal Technical Consultant – Federal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Engage with clients to configure ServiceNow integrations in line with best practices.

• Enhance customer usage, adoption, satisfaction, and business outcomes on the ServiceNow platform.

• Create and implement integrations between ServiceNow and external software platforms, programs, and applications.

• Troubleshoot integration errors, offer support, and formulate procedures for complex system overlaps.

• Design integration plans, strategies, and architectures for system integrations.

• Deploy ServiceNow AI features including Virtual Agent, NLU, AI Search, Issue Auto Resolution, Task Intelligence, Document Intelligence, and Generative AI.

• Generate solutions based on user requirements collected during workshops.

• Collaborate with developers to ensure that integrations and platform functionalities align with overall project objectives.

• Guarantee adherence to integration-process best practices across the organization.

• Act as a subject-matter expert for intricate integration and AI-solution challenges.

• Identify and resolve data-configuration conflicts and overlaps.

• Assess and enhance instance configurations and setups for future client requirements.

• Detect, troubleshoot, and provide guidance on system errors and architectural concerns.

• Serve as a technical lead on projects.

• Mentor and develop team members.

• Create presentations and reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Security Clearance is mandatory.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in configuring/developing complex and advanced integration technologies.

• Proven ability to influence and consult in diverse and complex customer environments.

• Must maintain at least 2 ServiceNow mainline CIS certifications.

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification is required.

• Experience in a technical lead role on projects.

• Proven experience in architecting system integrations and crafting complex high-level architecture diagrams.

• Extensive understanding of REST/SOAP web services, middleware, LDAP, SSO, JDBC, Import Sets, Export Sets, IDR, Remote Tables, and Remote Process.

• Familiarity with SaaS technologies is essential.

• Knowledge of AI Models, Deep Learning Models, and Large Language Models, particularly Generative AI.

• Experience with ServiceNow Predictive/Task Intelligence, AI Search, and Virtual Agent.

• Proficiency in development on the ServiceNow platform, including Studio IDE, Mobile, Automated Test Framework, Delegated Development, Flow Designer, Source Control, APIs, and Integrations.

• Background in data management, database design, and database principles.

• Understanding of LDAP, VPN, SSL, SAML/SSO, and enterprise technologies.

• Experience in configuring and designing chat, agent chat, and virtual agent functionalities.

• Knowledge of encryption principles and core design across Platform, Edge, Database, and Full Disk.

• Familiarity with and/or experience developing with MID Servers, Notify, and Orchestration.

• Strong practical skills in JavaScript.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach.

• Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment.

• Proven skills in team-building and talent mentoring/development.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Attention to detail with the ability to rectify errors in complex code.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% annually.

• Experience with self-hosted implementations and/or Domain Separation is advantageous.
