Principal Specialist, Procurement – APU

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Oversee all elements of supplier relationships, including delivery, quality, cost, inventory, and customer satisfaction.

• Direct the execution of purchase orders and the delivery of products.

• Guarantee the timely placement of scheduled agreements.

• Implement billing adjustments, mitigation of terminations, and objectives for cost reduction.

• Coordinate procurement efforts in accordance with the P&W Procurement Manual, GSC Standard Work, UTC Code of Ethics, International Trade Compliance, and Transition Standard Work.

• Collaborate with the Strategic Sourcing team and engage in long-term sourcing strategies.

• Communicate with Regional Office staff, including Delivery Assurance Specialists, Supplier Quality Assurance Representatives, MCL, ESA, Continuous Improvement Specialists, and GWS Buyers & Planners.

• Ensure that quotations, cost analysis/price justification, market share appropriations, and schedule agreement placements are finalized punctually and adhere to regulations and procedures.

• Travel required 10–20% as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of experience in business, supply chain, or a related field; or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• No security clearance is needed.

• Familiarity with the P&W Procurement Manual, GSC Standard Work, UTC Code of Ethics, International Trade Compliance, and Transition Standard Work (TSW).

• Experience managing supplier relationships, focusing on delivery, quality, cost, inventory, and customer satisfaction.

• Capability to execute purchase orders and manage product delivery tasks.

• Proficiency in completing quotations, cost analysis/price justification, market share appropriations, and schedule agreement placements while ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.
