Principal Software Solutions Engineer – Forward Deployed

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with our key customers to address intricate business and technical challenges.

• Act as a liaison between actual customer requirements and the advancement of our SaaS platform.

• Recognize recurring trends, reveal innovation opportunities, and convert customer-specific solutions into scalable product functionalities.

• Design, architect, and develop scalable features that enhance and broaden our core SaaS platform.

• Create full-stack solutions encompassing the entire application stack, including frontend, backend, APIs, databases, integrations, and cloud services.

• Facilitate technical discovery sessions and architecture workshops with customers and internal stakeholders.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and type-safe code using contemporary technologies such as TypeScript, React, Next.js, and related frameworks.

• Convert customer-specific requirements into reusable platform functionalities.

• Design and execute secure, production-ready integrations and automated workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Insurtech experience is essential!

• Over 10 years of professional experience in full-stack or frontend development, particularly in SaaS products or startup settings.

• Insurtech background required - Knowledge of Commercial P&C Insurance and the underwriting lifecycle.

• Exceptional communication skills; client-facing role.

• Consultative background - functioning as a consultant or partner to end clients while remaining responsible for deliverables.

• Proficient coding skills demonstrated in TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, or similar languages.

• Practical experience with Next.js App Router (server components, layouts, streaming, caching).

• Familiarity with tRPC or equivalent type-safe API frameworks.

• Experience in implementing complex, data-rich views using Tailwind and component libraries (shadcn/ui, Mantine, etc.).

• A background in UI/UX design or collaboration with designers is highly preferred.

• Capability to design scalable systems along with a strong understanding of frontend performance, state management, and accessibility.
