Principal Software Engineer – Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead a team focused on enhancing products for secure organizations, emphasizing FedRAMP and similar standards.

• Design and implement secure networking solutions for various products.

• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to convert requirements into functional designs.

• Develop and maintain security standards, procedures, and guidelines throughout the product portfolio.

• Evaluate and recommend network and security technologies that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

• Partner with audit, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing teams to prioritize and address identified findings.

• Identify network and security vulnerabilities within existing architecture and implementations.

• Review code written in C, C++, Python, and Go.

• Establish standards and processes to enhance secure coding quality.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers responsible for delivering user access solutions.

• Keep abreast of advancements in networking, security, and cloud technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Proficient in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying secure network infrastructures.

• Skilled in VPN software, virtual appliances, hypervisors, cloud platforms, and identity and access management protocols and tools.

• In-depth knowledge of security standards, frameworks, and best practices.

• Familiar with NIST standards and knowledgeable about FedRAMP compliance.

• Proficient in programming languages including C, C++, Python, or Go.

• Understanding of secure coding practices.

• Experience developing on-premises and cloud-based appliances.

• Capability to resolve complex network and security issues.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and collaborate across diverse teams.
