This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Architect and develop large-scale, enterprise-level software solutions on AWS cloud platforms utilizing Lambda, ECS, EKS, and DynamoDB.
• Lead comprehensive software development within Agile teams in a financial services context.
• Design and construct distributed microservices and high-performance APIs for critical, high-throughput data pipelines that manage sensitive customer financial information.
• Supervise data architecture and governance across Oracle, PL/SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Execute access controls, encryption protocols, audit mechanisms, automated quality engineering, test automation frameworks, CI pipelines, and testing strategies.
• Design and create advanced software components and multi-application systems using GitHub, Docker, Artifactory, and Confluence.
• Propel technical modernization, introduce innovative technologies, conduct architectural assessments, and influence stakeholders across various functions.
• Engage in architecture design teams and establish application-level architecture.
• Develop applications, components, and subsystems for complex initiatives.
• Recommend tools and methodologies for development testing and validate test plans.
• Ensure software deliverables meet quality assurance readiness.
• Create detailed documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
• Establish project life-cycle plans across various platforms, ensuring timely and budget-friendly project delivery.
• Provide guidance on risk assessment and risk management strategies.
• Plan and coordinate schedules and assignments across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with business units to address project and technology challenges.
• Deliver technology solutions and technical evaluation estimates.
• Advise senior management on technical strategy.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Conduct independent technical and functional analyses across multiple projects.
• Generate original and innovative technical solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent foreign education), along with five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer (or similar occupation) in architecting and building high-performing, resilient applications on multi-Cloud platforms using Go and AWS; alternatively, a Master’s degree in one of these fields (or equivalent foreign education) and three (3) years of experience in the same domain.
• Proven expertise in architecting, designing, and developing secure, high-performance APIs, microservices, and web-based applications for fintech platforms and authentication systems utilizing Golang, Java, and Python.
• Experience in applying RESTful principles and implementing industry-standard security controls.
• Proficient in request parsing, validation, and transformation for integrations between front-end and distributed back-end systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing CI/CD pipelines using Git or Bitbucket, including automated build, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Experience in defining unit and integration testing thresholds and integrating quality and security gates through Sonar Cloud and Snyk.
• Proven ability in designing and optimizing SQL and NoSQL queries, including Redis, PostgreSQL, or DynamoDB.
• Experience with performance benchmarking, query tuning, and capacity analysis in high-throughput scenarios.
• Demonstrated expertise in maintaining and scaling containerized platforms using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, ECR, EKS, RDS, and S3.
• Experience utilizing Datadog to monitor and enhance software performance.
