This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize expertise in radiopharmaceutical-specific modeling for the research and development of innovative drugs and therapies.
• Conduct radiopharmaceutical dose modeling and evaluate in vitro and in vivo data from clinical diagnostic and therapeutic studies.
• Lead analyses in translational dosimetry, including physiologically based pharmacokinetic and compartmental modeling.
• Offer technical assistance, perform dosimetry calculations, provide training, and develop problem-solving solutions for cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and subject-matter experts.
• Aid in internal dosimetry analysis to facilitate the discovery and development of radiopharmaceutical imaging and therapeutic agents.
• Design experiments and assess dosimetric data from PET and SPECT imaging to evaluate drug uptake and distribution.
• Provide guidance on best practices and standardization for quality control of image data in preclinical research.
• Analyze both preclinical and clinical imaging data to enhance animal-to-human dose projection.
• Investigate new technologies and modeling methodologies, including innovative radioisotopes like alpha-emitters.
• Contribute to the body of knowledge in medical physics regarding radiopharmaceuticals.
• Leverage AI to enhance team execution and decision-making processes.
• Advanced degree in Medical Physics or Engineering, with formal training in RPT biodistribution, kinetics, and dose modeling; a PhD is preferred.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in molecular imaging and RPT dose modeling research, or 3 years with substantial RPT-specific publications (10+).
• Significant experience with radiopharmaceuticals as therapeutic agents in oncology is highly desired.
• Experience with alpha-emitters is strongly preferred.
• Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in mathematical pharmacokinetic modeling and its application in radiopharmaceutical research and development.
• Proficient in dosimetry software, coding, and simulation/modeling/statistical tools, including 3D-RD-S, MIM, MIRDcalc, OLINDA, Torch, GATE, SIMIND, SAAM II, SimBiology, Python, Matlab, R, SPSS, ITK-snap, 3D slicer, and Elastix.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to think creatively when addressing challenges in multidisciplinary projects.
• Proven history of coordinating and aligning cross-functional stakeholders to meet corporate timelines in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting and discussing imaging and dosimetry topics clearly and concisely, including with global scientific experts.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and work efficiently with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, professional ethics, integrity, and capacity to maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to travel as needed (10–15%), including attending conferences that may require evening and weekend work.
• Up-to-date knowledge of global dosimetry guidelines and a passion for pioneering alpha-emitting radiotherapeutics is a plus.
• Capability to meet physical demands, including occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
