Principal Product Manager, Security and Identity Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Lead the security and identity initiatives at AlphaSense, overseeing everything from strategy to execution.

• Manage the platform that governs user authentication, authorization, entitlement, and the safeguarding of sensitive customer information.

• Establish and implement a roadmap for the foundational identity and access platform.

• Develop the platform and user experience for enterprise user onboarding and management through SCIM and directory integration.

• Promote centralized audit logging, ensure least-privilege access, and provide guarantees for organization isolation.

• Direct the product strategy for secure deployments, focusing on data isolation, AI processing, regional hosting, and encryption.

• Act as a reliable resource for customers utilizing private or customer-deployed infrastructures.

• Collaborate with various teams within the organization to create secure solutions tailored for regulated enterprise IT clients.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering identity, access, authentication, or similar platform capabilities at an enterprise scale.

• Proven track record of building capabilities from the ground up rather than adhering to established playbooks.

• Executive presence to effectively engage and align senior stakeholders.

• Experience managing challenging conversations with demanding clients.

• Practical skills to drive complex projects to completion.

• In-depth technical knowledge in identity and access management.

• Proficiency in OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, JWT, RBAC/ABAC, and MFA.

• Familiarity with enterprise identity solutions such as Auth0 and Okta.

• Comprehensive understanding of federated identity frameworks.

• Experience in developing platforms that allow customers to define user identities.

• Strong customer empathy and insight into the needs of regulated enterprise clients.

• Ability to evaluate security risks and make informed trade-offs.

• Experience working in regulated sectors.

• Capability to portray security infrastructure as a value contributor and influence cross-functional teams.

• Ability to work closely with engineering, product security, enterprise IT clients, CISO, and product security teams.
