Principal Product Manager – Agentic AI Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define the technical product direction and roadmap for Zillow’s shared agent platform.

• Convert product and customer requirements into precise technical specifications.

• Onboard 2–3 flagship experience teams, establish graduation criteria, and scale to subsequent phases.

• Make decisions regarding open architecture with designated decision-makers and timelines.

• Transform cross-organizational dependencies into explicit commitments involving owners, capacity estimates, re-planning dates, and exit criteria.

• Connect traditional engineering practices with the needs of agentic science and data.

• Lead discussions on source-of-truth debates, schema choices, fact versus inference discussions, and hill-climbing processes.

• Establish and measure platform success using metrics such as reuse, time-to-first-agent, cost per team, and experience coherence.

• Keep and publicly share a list of what the platform will not be developing.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, scientists, Core Tech, and experience teams throughout Zillow.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in product management, specifically with platform or infrastructure products aimed at other product and engineering teams.

• Proficient hands-on experience with LLM and agentic systems, including orchestration, context engineering, memory and RAG, and evaluation design.

• Proven ability to drive adoption through influence across organizations with varying incentives and roadmaps.

• Skill in crafting concise, compelling, decision-influencing documents at the SVP level and managing execution beneath them.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and contested ownership scenarios.

• Capability to unite engineering, science, and domain teams and synthesize differing perspectives into improved decisions.

• Experience with data mesh or federated data platforms (preferred).

• Background in experimentation and A/B testing for AI features (preferred).

• Experience in consumer marketplaces or two-sided products (preferred).
