This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +10 more states.
• Collaborate with Account Executives in opportunity assessment, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concepts, RFPs, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
• Spearhead the technical and product sales process, recommend best-practice solutions, and assist customers in utilizing Twilio APIs.
• Identify customer technical challenges and create, demonstrate, and present innovative solutions.
• Develop and showcase intricate, interactive customer demonstrations of Twilio Communications Products.
• Independently manage the technical aspects of most opportunities.
• Provide leadership and support for deals within the Solutions Engineer organization.
• Oversee the design and implementation of medium to large-scale projects.
• Engage in team architectural decisions and collaborate with product and other Twilio teams.
• Recognize and resolve customer and organizational challenges.
• Share knowledge, demonstration materials, and reusable presentations with the Solutions Engineering community.
• Mentor junior Solutions Engineers.
• Travel approximately 25% for in-person customer and team relationship development.
• 8+ years of pre-sales experience in selling complex, technical products OR 10+ years of professional experience in supporting technical products along with customer-facing experience, particularly in delivery or consulting.
• Previous software development experience or working knowledge in one or more relevant technical fields.
• Prior experience in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security domains.
• Familiarity with sales methodologies.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to gain a deep understanding of customers’ communication requirements and guide them toward technical solutions.
• Approximately 25% travel expected.
• Must be eligible to work remotely in the United States, excluding CT, NJ, NY, WA, PA, and the surrounding areas of San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and cloud application architecture is preferred.
