Principal Platform Architect – Public Sector

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation of cloud platforms that facilitate large-scale transformations, including migrations, modernizations, and new developments.

• Provide leadership within cross-functional agile teams.

• Create a shared understanding of solution outcomes, technical ecosystems, and design complexities.

• Define the technology strategy for AI-enhanced platform delivery and future AI-driven initiatives.

• Engage with senior customer stakeholders regarding AI strategy, governance, and return on investment.

• Influence the development of Kainos’s Platforms capability.

• Establish architectural guidelines and strategic platform directions in collaboration with senior stakeholders.

• Identify and address both functional and non-functional requirements of the platform.

• Propel technological advancement and direction within the Kainos Platforms Capability.

• Mentor colleagues in their professional growth.

• Collaborate on the creation of blueprints and standards.

• Cultivate customer relationships and contribute to strategic account planning.

• Act as a Kainos technology ambassador by sharing expertise.

• Investigate and responsibly implement AI to enhance work processes and delivery results.

• Balance innovative ideas with practical execution while ensuring accountability for outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in leading the delivery of platforms that support large-scale cloud transformations, including migrations, modernizations, and web application deployment.

• Proven track record of making technology decisions and driving delivery to achieve favorable customer results.

• Experience in building and nurturing relationships with executive and C-level stakeholders.

• Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, covering IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

• Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop team members and the broader community.

• Demonstrated experience in leveraging AI to enhance outcomes, innovate work practices, and address complex business or delivery challenges.

• Experience in translating experimentation and learning into sustainable enhancements and fostering the adoption of effective methodologies.

• Ability to adapt strategies as technological capabilities advance.

• Desirable: proactive development of business within an account alongside sales and account managers.

• Desirable: experience in managing others, setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations.
