Principal MCP/AI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Define and lead the technical strategy for the agentic platform.

• Identify and prioritize the most impactful AI challenges.

• Create the evaluation and quality framework for AI systems.

• Establish the architecture for trust.

• Oversee the design and execution of large, cross-team projects.

• Promote the adoption of shared agentic capabilities.

• Serve as the technical authority for critical decisions and trade-offs.

• Mentor senior engineers and collaborate with Product/UX/Applied AI on the long-term roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 8–12+ years of experience in software engineering, including substantial work on large-scale or platform systems.

• Extensive, hands-on experience in building and managing AI/ML systems in production environments.

• Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and contemporary web technologies.

• Strong architectural skills across distributed systems, APIs, and composable services.

• Proven track record of leading cross-team technical initiatives and influencing without direct authority.

• Demonstrated capability to operate independently in highly ambiguous problem spaces.

• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
