This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide expertise concerning field strategies, research, and regulatory requirements at the state, regional, and federal levels.
• Prepare research designs and assemble research teams.
• Supervise research, fieldwork, data analysis, report preparation, and other project-related tasks.
• Ensure that research objectives, budgets, timelines, and contract stipulations are fulfilled.
• Recommend and implement cutting-edge technology and methodologies.
• Act as the primary author and researcher for technical reports.
• Guarantee the quality, integrity, and original authorship of project deliverables.
• Draft research articles, papers, and presentations for both academic and industry audiences.
• Conduct field visits and participate in occasional archaeological fieldwork.
• Develop project proposals, cost estimates, and timelines.
• Train and mentor archaeologists and authors of reports.
• Uphold professional standards and foster strong relationships within the project team.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with agencies and clients.
• Communicate project updates to project teams, company leadership, and clients.
• Coordinate tasks related to fieldwork, research, laboratory work, and report preparation.
• Collaborate with crews to ensure timely fieldwork that meets applicable standards.
• Conduct quality control and assurance for technical reports.
• Oversee project staff.
• Coordinate the development of project Health & Safety plans.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Master's degree in Anthropology or a related field.
• At least five (5) years of supervisory experience that includes field, laboratory, and office work.
• Must meet the Secretary of the Interior’s professional qualifications standards for archaeology.
• Must be a Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) or eligible to become one.
• Expertise in state and federal regulations and guidelines governing cultural resources management.
• Proven ability to support projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Proven ability to manage cultural resource studies effectively and efficiently.
• Demonstrated client management capabilities.
• Exceptional technical writing skills for producing high-quality technical reports and competitive proposals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CV/resume, cover letter, a minimum of three professional references, and two writing samples are required.
