Principal Implementation Engineer, Customer Support – EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Bitwarden and its comprehensive range of services.

• Oversee the technical planning and implementation of new deployments, particularly focusing on large-scale Enterprise engagements.

• Provide insights to customers on industry best practices related to the complete Bitwarden suite.

• Address customer challenges and pinpoint potential future solutions.

• Offer support and guidance for customer implementations and overall security matters.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers through ticketing and email communication.

• Engage in quarterly business reviews, conduct environment audits, assess best practices, and promote product feature utilization.

• Work collaboratively with Engineering and Product teams to prioritize bug reports and feature suggestions.

• Assist with training initiatives and promote knowledge sharing within the Implementation Engineering Team.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer among Implementation Engineers and Technical Writing teams.

• Lead or support internal projects that involve environment replication, third-party integrations, and automation processes.

• Occasionally represent Bitwarden at customer meetings, industry events, or team offsites, with some travel being necessary.

• Exceptional command of English and grammar.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Robust technical skills coupled with emotional intelligence.

• Empathy and the ability to advocate effectively for others.

• A genuine passion for assisting Bitwarden users.

• Prior experience in a technical role, such as Systems Engineer, Implementation Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or IT Infrastructure Engineer.

• Equivalent educational background or demonstrable skills may be considered.

• Willingness and capability to work remotely.

• Familiarity with several of the following technologies/areas is preferred: Bitwarden; Linux, Windows, and macOS; Docker (Swarm Mode), Kubernetes, and Podman; NFS, SMB/CIFS, and Block storage; Bash and PowerShell; Active Directory, LDAP, Google Workspace, Azure Entra ID, Jumpcloud, Cloudflare, and Okta; GCP, AWS, and Azure; Android and iOS; GitHub; NGINX; SQL; TCP/IP; DNS; HTTP; SMTP; SAML and OpenID Connect; TLS/SSL and PKI.
