This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
β’ Lead the design, development, and testing of software within an agile and collaborative environment.
β’ Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, delegate tasks, and offer guidance.
β’ Resolve complex software trouble reports through the use of debugging tools and enhance code performance.
β’ Provide technical leadership during agile execution and promote continuous improvement.
β’ Ensure compliance with industry best practices.
β’ Contribute directly to the requirements gathering, implementation, and test development processes.
β’ Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to assess, implement, and test system modification requests.
β’ Develop networking and command-and-control software that supports threat and weapon simulations.
β’ Assist in the secure Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation systems from concept through accreditation, production, and installation.
β’ Experience in software development, testing, and/or integration using Java, C++, or C#.
β’ Familiarity with agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum, SAFe, or DevSecOps.
β’ An active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required before the start date.
β’ U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
β’ A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience.
β’ Preferred experience in Windows and Linux development environments.
β’ Preferred experience in multithreading.
β’ Preferred experience with networking and communications protocols.
β’ Preferred experience with CI/CD tools and infrastructure such as Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket.
β’ Preferred experience with containerized applications like Docker.
β’ Python experience is a plus.
