Principal Engineer, Data & ML Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Lead a diverse group of engineers in delivering essential software for autonomous vehicle machine learning models and software.

• Conduct research and develop large-scale data warehousing and analytical solutions.

• Oversee extensive data analysis workflows to identify unexpected effects of changes to ML models and software.

• Create high-quality datasets for training ML products and validating edge cases.

• Perform statistical analyses of model performance and generalization through thorough error and change assessments.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship, encouraging collaboration and ongoing improvement.

• Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables for projects.

• Work in conjunction with perception and ML teams to establish metrics and analyze outcomes.

• Develop the entire technology stack, including AWS Kubernetes orchestration, ReSimulation, model metrics, regression reports, and in-depth analysis user interfaces.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Demonstrated experience leading a small, diverse team that supports a large user community.

• Background in machine learning, data mining, and statistical analysis.

• Proven track record in developing and deploying large-scale cloud frameworks.

• Proficient programming skills in Python.

• Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing technologies.

• A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related area is a plus.

• Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is advantageous.

• Experience in machine learning applications for autonomous driving is a plus.

• Publications or contributions to the AI/ML community are considered a bonus.
