Principal Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Design and deliver essential customer-facing product interfaces.

• Take ownership of frontend architecture, backend services, and infrastructure choices.

• Develop code across the frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers.

• Influence the platform's evolution, including CI/CD, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and observability.

• Transform successful projects into shared components, services, architectural patterns, design-system enhancements, and foundational platform elements.

• Provide mentorship to senior engineers.

• Facilitate discussions on architecture.

• Eliminate engineering obstacles to boost team velocity and safety.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to create user-centered interfaces.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in React/TypeScript for frontend development.

• Extensive experience in building distributed backends using Go, Python, or TypeScript.

• Practical, architectural-level expertise with GCP or AWS and Terraform.

• In-depth knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and contemporary CI/CD workflows.

• Familiarity with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.

• Demonstrated success in designing scalable, resilient, and observable distributed cloud-native systems.

• Experience collaborating with Product and Design teams to deliver user-centered interfaces.

• Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and Jaeger.

• Knowledge of scalable testing methodologies.

• Over 10 years of experience with strong foundations in product engineering and platform/SRE roles.
