Principal Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Establish and uphold the design framework throughout the division, which encompasses the design system, cross-tribe agents and skills, research and discovery engines, design architecture, guidelines, and standards.

• Articulate a long-term design vision and oversee its execution.

• Develop AI-driven agents, skills, and tools that encapsulate design judgment into reusable systems.

• Collaborate with Staff Designers to ensure that tribe-level design elements create a cohesive whole.

• Partner with the VP to tackle intricate cross-tribe design challenges.

• Provide craft feedback and calibration contributions for the performance evaluations of Directors and Staff Designers.

• A portfolio of successfully delivered, high-quality design work that showcases your taste.

• Senior-level credibility across various tribes.

• Ability to think multi-year and translate that vision into systems and agents.

• Genuine enjoyment in working with cross-tribe substrates.

• AI Fluency Level 4 or an equivalent level of expertise.

• Experience in developing AI-enhanced products or systems.

• Sufficient understanding of AI components to make informed architectural decisions.

• Have shipped a product where AI plays a fundamental role in its functionality.

• Capability to function as a force multiplier for a VP without formal authority.

• Experience in maintaining a design system utilized across multiple product teams at a large scale (preferred).

• Familiarity with agentic design tools or experience in building AI skills and research engines (preferred).
