This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

• Take ownership of the complete level design for the entire game.

• Develop exploration areas, points of interest, and environmental narratives.

• Determine the locations and methods for players to construct their factories.

• Collaborate with design, art, and engineering teams on tools, workflows, and performance optimization.

• Conduct playtests and iterate on designs.

• Create and populate the expansive open world of the upcoming factory game using Unreal Engine 5.

• Design an engaging world that encourages exploration with well-defined locations for factory construction.

• Craft a world that visibly transforms in reaction to player interactions.

• Proven experience in shipping level or world designs for open-world or large-environment games.

• Proficient skills in the Unreal Engine 5 editor.

• A portfolio that demonstrates the design process from blockout to final product.

• Strong abilities in communication and documentation.

• Experience with Procedural Content Generation (PCG), World Partition, or Blueprints.

• Solid understanding of artistic principles for set dressing.

• Familiarity with survival, exploration, or simulation games is a plus.

• An interest in factory games is an added advantage.

• Professional working proficiency in English.

• Availability to work during CET core hours, roughly 11:00–15:00.
