CAD Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Operate in a lead engineering technician role

• Adjust or develop deliverables with general oversight

• Execute design tasks by utilizing fundamental engineering principles and established design methodologies

• Create moderately intricate design concepts

• Offer technical support and guidance

• May oversee other engineering professionals

⛳️ Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate is preferred

• An Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology is preferred

• Generally, a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience

• Proficiency in Computer Automated Drafting Design (CADD), information modeling, or other design applications, as well as design principles and practices

• Intermediate understanding of engineering standards, systems, document control, departmental guidelines, and Black & Veatch policies and procedures

• Intermediate awareness of industry knowledge and technology trends

• Intermediate knowledge of the company’s quality program

• Intermediate ability to interpret content of engineering deliverables as assigned

• Intermediate understanding of other engineering disciplines

• Basic knowledge of construction practices and constructability principles

• Basic understanding of engineering design principles and relevant design guides related to the assigned engineering discipline
