This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Develop and oversee data infrastructure, which encompasses pipelines, warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data quality assurance.
• Examine product usage and user behavior to identify trends, segment users, and unveil valuable insights.
• Create and deploy systems based on LLMs as well as traditional machine-learning models, including classification, clustering, NLP, and evaluation frameworks.
• Establish and monitor product and go-to-market metrics such as activation, retention, engagement, and PQLs.
• Conduct A/B testing, causal analysis, and cohort studies to assess impact.
• Transform data into actionable product recommendations, articulating what the team should pursue and the rationale behind it.
• Assess data through actual datasets, product-decision case studies, pipeline or model architecture tasks, and feature instrumentation exercises.
• Over 5 years of experience in data science, data engineering, and analytics.
• Proficient in SQL and Python.
• Experience with Databricks or similar modern data platforms, such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
• Familiarity with LLMs, including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG, and evaluation techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of traditional machine learning in classification, regression, clustering, NLP, and feature engineering.
• A product-oriented mindset that links analysis to product decisions.
• Proven ability to construct reliable and scalable data pipelines.
• Capability to communicate findings effectively to non-technical audiences.
• Preferred: experience in an early-stage startup or as a founding data team member.
• Preferred: experience in developing product analytics from the ground up, covering instrumentation, event taxonomy, dashboards, and self-service reporting.
• Preferred: background in the legal or HR domains.
• Preferred: familiarity with LLM evaluation and observability, including tracing, scoring, and drift detection.
• Preferred: knowledge of dbt, Airflow/Dagster, Spark, or similar orchestration and transformation tools.
