This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Business Leaders to establish and monitor success metrics and KPIs such as CPC, CPA, and CPM.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports for campaign performance, network adoption, and the impact of new advertisers and campaigns.
• Take ownership of the ClickHouse data model for the ad network.
• Design and implement aggregation tables that support machine learning, reporting, and in-app dashboarding.
• Conduct in-depth analyses to identify patterns and pain points.
• Convert data insights into actionable recommendations that influence the product roadmap and prioritization.
• Oversee data flows to detect issues and anomalies, including those arising from misconfigurations.
• Evaluate network health to balance publisher payouts and advertiser value, providing recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to enhance event tracking, instrumentation, and data quality.
• Develop a beehiiv universal entity resolution system in partnership with engineers.
• Maintain and enhance advertiser conversion attribution logic.
• Design and create a potential first-party subscriber enrichment product utilizing interaction data across beehiiv products.
• Work with ML on Brand Lift A/B test studies.
• Engage cross-functionally with Business Leaders, Engineering, and Machine Learning Engineers to identify friction points and opportunities.
• Assist in constructing the data model that underpins the ad network.
• 3+ years of experience in a highly technical role such as Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or Data Engineer.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Mode, Metabase, or similar).
• Proficient in R or Python, with experience in data-driven research and statistical analysis (linear regression, k-means clustering).
• Familiarity with experimentation methodologies (A/B testing, multivariate testing).
• Experience in database data modeling to support reporting and analysis.
• Proficient with SQL ETL tools to define and materialize KPIs.
• Exceptional ability to interpret complex data into actionable insights and communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ideally, availability to work during EST hours.
• Experience in Ad Tech or Marketing is a plus.
• Familiarity with ClickHouse or another OLAP database is advantageous.
• Experience in building Entity Resolution systems or models is a plus.
• Experience with Graph Databases is a plus.
• Background in the creator economy or SaaS is an advantage.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.
• Comfortable with rapid iteration and frequent context switching.
